The University of Pikeville and UPIKE Athletics is searching for the next Pikey the Bear! Pikey is a staple in the UPIKE campus community and has the accolades to back it up. In 2017, Pikey won the first-ever NAIA-SIDA Mascot Challenge overall 32 schools that made the national tournament. Since then, Pikey has continued to lead the charge in supporting UPIKE Athletics while representing the Bears at various campus and community events. 

UPIKE Athletics is seeking an undergraduate student interested in carrying on the Pikey legacy. This position is a scholarship opportunity of $5,000 that also has the $1,000 AAIS opportunity for academic success (2.6 required GPA). The ideal candidate is energetic, fun-loving, and most importantly excited to represent UPIKE at sporting events, university engagements, and much more! 

This scholarship will begin in the fall semester. Responsibilities will carry on throughout the entire 2021-22 academic year and will include appearances at UPIKE Athletics, campus community, and other special events.
