UPIKE Symposium

We are delighted to announce the Call for Abstract Proposals for the 2021 UPIKE Symposium. The Symposium will be held on Friday, April 9th in the Health Professions Building (HPE) on the 7th floor and on Zoom. Morning discussions about research and scholarship will take place via Zoom. The Symposium program will span a broad spectrum of academic presentations from a variety of disciplines across campus. Students and faculty may submit abstract proposals; the deadline for submission is Friday, March 19, 2021, by 11:59 PM. Authors must submit their presentation proposals using the UPIKE Symposium abstract submission page. All proposals will be reviewed, and presenters will be notified of their selection for oral or poster presentation on or by Friday, March 26, 2021. Click the hyperlink to submit your abstract.

The Band from the Mountain Moving Land, your University of Pikeville Marching Band, is proud to announce the addition of a new performing visual ensemble premiering in the Fall of 2021.

This group is open to all current and incoming UPIKE students. Experience in color guard, ballet, non-traditional dance, step team, or hip hop dance is preferred but not required. Would you like to earn a UPIKE Band Scholarship? Would you like to have access to all UPIKE sporting events to cheer on our athletic teams?

Would you like to be featured during a marching band performance? Please contact the UPIKE band department for information on how to audition for this exciting new visual ensemble.
