Session: Opening Remarks

Dr. Lori Werth, UPIKE Provost

The 2021 UPIKE Symposium will take place on Friday, April 9th. The Symposium is a formal opportunity for students and faculty to share their academic scholarship in a professional setting. If you are interested in sharing your work with our campus community, please submit your presentation abstract proposal and register for the Symposium by 11:55 PM this upcoming Friday, March 26th.

The Symposium program features a panel discussion about scholarship at the University of Pikeville, a keynote talk by Dr. Fadi Al Akhrass (Medical Director of Infectious Disease & Infection Prevention at Pikeville Medical Center), a performance and exhibit from our Fine Arts programs, and academic poster and oral presentations by UPIKE students and faculty. Please see the schedule below for the day's activities. Note that some of the morning's activities will occur via Zoom, while the remaining activities will take place in HPE 7.
